DOVEL STRIKES OUT 15 IN WIN OVER MAYFAIR
Jason Dovel earned his fifth win of the season pitching a gem against rival Mayfair high. Dovel struck out fifteen Monsoons over seven strong innings allowing two earned runs on five hits. Taylor Siemens had two RBIs and a triple, also Jordyn Baldwin had a double and an a RBI. The win put the Mats 8-1 in league and 15-10-1 overall record. Mayfair dropped to 5-4 in league.

MATADORES END EASTER CLASSIC IN FOUTH PLACE
The Matadores lost to Menlo-Atherton 6-7 in a five inning ballgame. Both losses the Matadores lost by one run. Steven Kaupang hit .467 (7 for 15) including two homeruns and seven RBIs in the tournament. Jake Johnson also hit his second homerun of the season coming off Bishop Gorman. Chad Albers pitched six innings allowing only one run striking out four in the tournament. Jason Dovel made is one appearance on the mound in the tournament a notciable one going six innings allowing two earned runs on five hits striking out seven. La Mirada is now 10-9-1 on the season.
